What makes Grace… Grace?

Every church has a common mission to carry out the “Great Commandment” and the Great Commission.” If you are not doing that, then you are not a church. But each local church is unique in exactly who they are called to reach and how they are called to fulfill that mission. That is usually reflected in a unique style or flavor for that particular church. No particular one is right or wrong. God is using all kinds of churches to reach all kinds of people throughout the world.

We believe that our church has its own distinct flavor as well. Mark did a series of talks for leaders at Grace last year. At the end, those leaders remarked that every family member of Grace should hear about the Flavor of Grace. So, we have created a two-week DVD small group study where Mark Norman takes us into the kitchen and introduces us to the special ingredients in the recipe that has created Grace Community Church. Why is Grace different from so many other churches? Why do we do things the way we do? You might be surprised at some of the things you learn. If Grace is your home church, then spend a couple of weeks with us to learn what makes up the foundation of this local congregation.

If you are finishing up the Open Doors Campaign with us, this would be a great study for the next two weeks before Thanksgiving. As always, we will loan each group a DVD for the duration of their study. There is no participants guide as all the questions and exercises are on the DVD. This is our 2^nd DVD small group study made right here at Grace. If you would like a DVD for your group to begin the study this week, we will have a few ready and available at the Small Groups Table in the East Lobby this weekend.
